About Me, The Journal Bee

Nicole started journaling at the age of ten. She recalls being in a Dollar Store at the local mall when a small diary with a white kitten caught her eye. She purchased it, and 32 years later, she is still journaling.

For years she looked for ways where she could share her stories and encourage others to write, and finally realized that an online journal could turn her dreams into a reality.  Nicole is a classic storyteller and finds ways to relate to her audience as a single woman in her 40s doing her best to navigate life.

At The Journal Bee, we write to remember, and we write to make it happen.

Nicole is also a Stalking Advocate, and her experience has been documented throughout The Journal Bee. She has written of her experiences with love-bombing and relationship red flags. She has offered a platform for other survivors to share their stories through her volunteer work as a journalist. 

Nicole believes sharing our stories offers us healing properties and allows us to educate others and shed light on the fact that abuse takes many forms. Whenever and wherever she can, she reminds us to trust our instincts and never excuse a red flag.

With the Director of Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit for Franklin County as a resource, Nicole wrote the article "Stand Up to Stalking," which is as much instructional as it is a call to action.
